Fantastic base for exploring South Shropshire's glorious countryside. Exemplary managed 40 acres of riverside meadows with an excellent café featuring homemade locally sourced quality food. PLUS see a full size mammoth skeleton in the exhibition! 🦣

Met my college friend here for lunch yesterday. Great place for gifts, food and walks. It was quite busy trying to park the car before entering the building. Paid my parking fee. Went into the restaurant, found my friend and we both quequed but the staff were doing a great job, serving customers and giving orders to the kitchen. I have done this job, its not easy especially at busy times. Beef & veg pie with new potatoes & veg and a Victorian lemonade. All good back to the seat to chat and wait. Not long and our meals were served. Very tasty and enjoyable.

Seems a shame that dogs are not allowed in the shop and cafe area, considering they are supposedly dog-friendly

Great place to visit for a walk around the meadow. We had lunch, which was served promptly. The staff were friendly too. The only negative comment would be about the Community Garden, which was locked up, so we couldn't view it. We are keen vegetable growers, so it would have been brilliant to see how others had fared this year. (It did say in the leaflet that we could go into the garden).

There's lots to do. There's the discovery centre itself and then there's exploring the walks in the meadows and beyond. We also stayed the night as we were in a campervan. It was peaceful. 😊🌈

Family friendly place, lovely food and beautiful grounds. Plenty for the kids to do and keep them entertained. Went twice during August - first time was quite quiet and second visit was a hive of activity as it was the Family fun day, BBQ and opening of the new wetland area Squelch. Lovely experience on both occasions, have recommended it to family and friends. Coincidental finding on our holiday travels.
